Why I Started An Online Business

I never really liked to take orders from people. From an early age, I knew I was different in that I hated working for other people.

All my 9–5 jobs were unfulfilling, the hours were terrible, and the money ranged from terrible to okay, but I never really felt like I had any control over my career. I was always dependent on someone else for advancement.

In 2010 I decided to start my freelance writing career and never looked back. The only problem with being a freelance writer was that I was still trading time for money. If I didn’t write, I didn’t make money. It was as simple as that.

At that point, I was still working for someone else (the client) but instead of having one boss, I had several. Each one wanted something different.

I knew I had to make a change.

That’s when I started affiliate marketing. It wasn’t easy in the beginning but over the last few years, I have gotten better.

Being An Introvert Helps

One thing I have come to accept is that I am an introvert. And as I get older I am becoming more introverted.

I spent most of my adult life in sales and I used to be able to call people on the phone and sell face to face. But that is no longer the case. I really dislike dealing with clients…
