There Is Always Something To Be Grateful For
I am an affiliate marketer and freelance writer. I make money off my efforts in what many call the “free market.” If somebody markets better or writes better, then they get the job or sale over me. Nothing is guaranteed.
Some months are good and some months are bad. This month is one of the bad ones.
But that is okay.
Freedom Is Not Free
Lots of politicians like to say “Freedom is not free!” To them, it’s more of a punchline than it is a philosophy. For me, it is a slogan to live by.
I am free to work when I want, where I want. But if I don't work then I don’t earn money. Nothing is guaranteed. And that is a deal I am willing to take.
I have not had a “real job” since 2010. That was when I quit my financial services job and became a full-time freelance writer.
I experienced different levels of success over the years but I have always been grateful for my ability to play by my own rules. In my last post, I talked about how the Pau Brothers are not playing by boxing’s rules.
I don't like playing by other people’s rules either.
